Reading for Life project

Teachers’ Grant

We believe that children must have opportunities that expose them to a variety of quality books for genuine literacy development to occur in any nation.
The Reading for Life project runs as Reading Clubs. Children gather weekly for about 40 weeks every year in the reading centres to read books, discuss the story line and play literacy based games. Weekly activities are guided by a scheme of work.
By increasing access to good books, we aim to develop latent skills in children in the area of leadership and entrepreneurship thereby improving speaking and writing skills.

The key players in the education of a child are the teachers, parents, the community and the government. As part of  service to the community, Seedtime Teachers’ Grant seeks to provide support for teachers in their pursuit of educational excellence of the Nigerian child.

The Hospital and Orphanage Initiative

'Operation Smile' is an avenue for the organization to reach out to sick children during Christmas. We visited Lagos State University Teaching hospital at Ikeja on December 09 2017 and we gave out sixty six gifts to children on admission in the Children's ward.

Kit A Child

The Kit A Child project seeks to put a smile on a child's face by providing basic materials children require to function effectively in school.  The scope of operation covers the provision of the following items:
School bags
School uniform
School shoes and Socks
Exercise Books, writing materials and bookmarks.

The Library Project

The Library project entails setting up libraries in public schools and equipping them with a variety of books and educational resources.
The aims of the Library project are:
To revive the culture of reading by promoting reading in schools.
To keep children reading all year long thereby improving literacy skills.
To enable children monitor their reading activity by keeping a reading log.
To raise a generation of avid readers.
In order to achieve our aims and objectives, our organization launched the “BRRB” [Borrow, Read and Return Books] scheme in 2015.

Teacher Training Programme

Seedtime Teacher Training Programme seeks to address certain deficiencies that exist in the teaching and learning process at our various schools, particularly in the public schools.
The first edition of what has become an annual programme took place on January 7, 2012.
